A Little About Quincy
Quincy is an important Massachusetts city with many a sight and attraction to rival the more famous municipalities surrounding it. It has also secured many diverse references in post-Revolutionary American history: first commercial railroad in the United States, first iron furnace in the United States, first Howard Johnson’s and first Dunkin’ Donuts, as well as the world’s last gun-heavy battleship, still on display at Fore River in Quincy. The city is also home to the longest-running Flag Day Parade in all of the United States, an annual favorite of the locals since 1952, further supporting its moniker of “The City of Presidents.”
