A Little About Kingston
Originally a part of Plymouth, Kingston today has become a suburban “bedroom community” for Boston commuters. It is also known for hosting the oldest operating boat yard in all of North America. Kingston used to be famous for its shipbuilding, which was then replaced by ice harvesting. The town now has a few small professional fishermen alongside some small specialty farmers, but counts retail and tourism as its mainstay industries.
