A Little About Medford
Today the City of Medford is, for all practical purposes, a suburb of nearby Boston, though, like other such cities and towns in the area, once prominent in various important industries. Also in common with surrounding communities, Medford is full of historical significance: Paul Revere is said to have rode through with the warning that, “The British are coming! The British are coming!” The Christmas tune “Jingle Bells” was composed in Medford. The man who invented the world’s first practical four-wheeled roller-skates also resided in Medford.
